Why Donate to Friends?
Friends is the volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising partner of MCAS. Donations are never used to pay for salaries or operations.
Friends funds only MCAS programs that directly improve the lives of shelter animals and enhance their adoptability — so donors can clearly see exactly where their money goes.
Friends supplements county funding, giving MCAS the flexibility to meet urgent needs quickly rather than waiting for the annual county budgeting cycle. This also allows MCAS to pilot new programs, prove their value, and use that track record to secure continued county support.
